Natchitoches, a city with southern charm, a small-town feel and safety, is a welcoming city of approximately 20,000 people that has the nickname of ‘The Destination of Travelers since 1714’. Throughout the year Natchitoches hosts a number of festivals, drawing visitors from all over the world. On the days with no festivals, one can still find plenty to do: walk the historic downtown area, boat or fish on the river, hike or bike the nearby Kisatchie forest, or go to the Alligator Park.
